Journal: Relation between Islam Resources and General Knowledge to Study of Certainty Allah’s Sustenance for the Textbook Completion: Pemahaman Al-Qur’an dan Hadis Jilid 2 untuk Kelas VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah

Abstract

It is very clear that all the various kinds of sustenance come from Allah the Most Everything. Allah gives all the facilities for humans and all living creatures on earth. Facilities such as: water, air, life, health, property, sense of sincerity and much more. All the facilities that Allah has given including of sustenance. Meanwhile, one of the major facilities that Allah gave to his servant is the Qur'an. All of our instructions in order to survive in this world and the next are already clearly set forth in the furqan. But people often miss it, recite the verses but do not apply it to life. Therefore, textbooks titled Pemahaman Al-Qur’an dan Hadis Jilid 2 untuk Kelas VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah in writing by T. Ibrahim and H. Darsono examine some verses of the Qur'an regarding the provision of sustenance of God and also some additional like hadith and suggestions for improvement of this book.

Preliminary 

As we know that human beings often live with abundant sustenance. Even something that seems not to have any meaning or have a very low value, it turned out including of sustenance that we have. Because if there is no one of sustenance we have, that can make we can not to survive. For example oxygen, oxygen was abundant, very cheap, even humans do not need to spend money to enjoy oxygen. But people sometimes still has not feel grateful about the sustenance they got, whereas Allah with all His Generosity overflowing His creatures with a variety of sustenance. Sustenance no doubt comes from Allah.

Sometimes to reach something desired by human must be passed by great effort. Even Shaykh Dr. Fadl Illahi Zahir make electronic book (e-book) is titled “Kunci-Kunci Rezeki menurut Al-Qur’an dan As-Sunnah” which this book contains the key human for success, get more sustenance with several chapters. These articles consist of: seek forgiveness and repentance, piety, resignation to Allah, worship Allah completely, continue pilgrimage with the umrah, silaturrahim, alms in the path of Allah, alms to the prosecution of science shari'ah 'fully, do good act to those weak people, moved in the way of Allah. This indicates that humans are obliged to seek the sustenance according to ability and each of their competence. Of course, these efforts must be aligned with the directions that have been given by Allah Almighty. Such as a person's desire to be able to buy a house with cash, of course there must be intention, prayer and effort that can deliver such a person to easily achieve his wish. And the other example likes hadith below:

From Abu Hurairah, Rasulullah Shallallahu 'alaihi wa salam said: 
 

لَأَنْ يَحْتَطِبَ أَحَدُكُمْ حُزْمَةً عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ أَحَدًا فَيُعْطِيَهُ أَوْ يَمْنَعَهُ

“If there is anyone of you looking for stacks of firewood then carried (to the market for sale), rather than begging someone, sometimes given and sometimes not”

Thus Allah can also see how his servants put their trust and want to try. As with the word of Allah to the letter Ar-Ra'd verse 11: 
 

لَهُ ۥ مُعَقِّبَـٰتٌ۬ مِّنۢ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِۦ يَحۡفَظُونَهُ ۥ مِنۡ أَمۡرِ ٱللَّهِ‌ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوۡمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِأَنفُسِہِمۡ‌ۗ وَإِذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِقَوۡمٍ۬ سُوٓءً۬ا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُ ۥ‌ۚ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَالٍ (١١) 

“For him (each person), there are angels in succession, before and behind him. They guard him by the Command of Allah. Verily! Allah will not change the (good) condition of a people as long as they do not change their state (of goodness) themselves (by committing sins and by being ungrateful and disobedient to Allah). But when Allah wills a people’s punishment, there can be no turning back of it, and they will find besides Him no protector.” (Q.S Ar-Ra’d [13]: 11)

Many verses of the Qur'an and hadith which discuss the sustenance of Allah SWT given to his servant. Between letter Al-Quraish and the letter of Insyirah. That is where Allah tried to show His servants that He had to turn people, provides sustenance, turn off, and turn human again. And make the Prophet Muhammad as a role model for his servants, that human is not easy complacency, not easy to despair, always grateful and tolerant in accepting a disaster or an exam.

Said of Prophet relate Certainty Allah’s Sustenance

So many verses and hadith that describe certainty of Allah’s sustenance to His servants. However, Chapter II of the certainty of Allah’s sustenance in this textbook highlights the relevance of two letters only, namely the Al-Quraish and Al-Insyirah. Because it is felt Tsanawiyah Madrasah level enough to understand the relevance of only two letters away. It should be given additional hadith also discusses topic related certainty of Allah’s sustenance in order to charge the material equipment of the subjects Qur'an Hadith.

Sustenance deserved to be thankful and it is gotten by effort and prayer. Not be wasted or not thankful. Even to get sustenance need the hard work and strong intention. The Prophet shows the way how you might be done in order to get the smooth sustenance a by the following hadith below:

The Prophet said in a hadith narrated by At-Tabarani in al-Awsath:

 

باكروا الغدو -أي الصباح- في طلب الرزق، فإن الغدو بركة ونجاح'

“Go in the morning (dawn) in living, indeed in the morning is a blessing and success."

The purpose of hadith above is that the Prophet sent to work in the early morning, because in the early morning is a time full of blessings and success. Then have thabit from the Prophet that he prayed to God to bless his people who go in the early morning, as reported by the Ashab Al-Sunan and Ibn Hibban that four in his Sahih, the Prophet through his daughter Fatimah r.a who was lying at dawn, but he said:

 

يا بنية قومي اشهدي رزق ربك, ولا تكوني من الغافلين, فإن الله يقسم أرزاق الناس ما بين طلوع الفجر إلى طلوع الشمس

"My daughter, wake up and face the sustenance of your God, and do not be among the heedless, Allah divides people living between dawns to sunrise." (hadith narrated by al-Baihaqi)

Scholar Thought of Certainty Allah’s Sustenance

From the beginning it was made clear that all kinds of sustenance of Allah are so broad. Like knowledge, knowledge is including the of God's sustenance. Whereas knowledge will not come on a child that lazy to study. Everything of course there is a process to get it. In addition to textbooks Quran Hadith, in this chapter I will add how the opinions of experts said. John Dewey was a philosopher who follows the stream of pragmatism in which he would appreciate an experiences, he said "Experience is the basis for knowledge and wisdom". It is intended that shaping the experience and policy is experience in doing something, both in the form of active or passive. In other words, that the patterns of thought of John Dewey in line with Aristotle's thinking pattern that is empirically realistic, the experience that is both real and empirically that able to form of human knowledge and skills.

However, unlike the case of Plato is idealistic view, which states that anything shapes the knowledge and defines the knowledge is something in the idea. So everything is empirical as machines, buildings, and equipment aids man is a picture of something that is in the idea.

It is seen from the point of view of people who follow a different philosophy stream would have a different view of the origin of knowledge too. But in essence that the knowledge included of the sustenance of Allah. Cause human has been honored by Allah than His creatures the other is because human is created with heart and mind. Humans can think and feel.

My hope to the textbook in these schools may more complete and more associated to life and general knowledge, although in principle subject Qur'an Hadith is religious subjects. But the link between religion and public resources that can add insight that is beneficial beyond religious subjects and the treasury the names of all non-Muslim members of thinking is very influential on the present knowledge. As students become more expansive thinking and knowing more perspective, especially the perspective of the Scholar.
